John Joseph Stephens

John Joseph was born on September 27th, 1879 in Romney, Eastland Co., Texas.¹   John Joseph's father was Joseph S. Stephens and his mother was Laura Phrozenia Bazemore.  His paternal grandparents are Quinton David Stephens and Mary A. Scroggins. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Kirby, Leon, Cammie Cornelia, Laura Cordelia, Claudia Bell, Della, Stella and Flossie Lora.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 76 on August 21st, 1956 in Sweetwater, Texas.¹ 

They had a son and two daughters, named Ollie Bradford, Gladys and Lorraine.
