Sarah Jane Smiley 
Sarah Jane was born on June 22nd, 1862 in Ohio Co., Kentucky.1 Sarah Jane's father was William Smiley and her mother was Matilda Basham. Her maternal grandparents were Littleberry Basham and Mary (Polly) Basham. She had four brothers named Samuel M., James N. 'Jim', Charles L. and Robert P.. She was the youngest of the five children. She had nine half-brothers and a half-sister, named Seth W., Abner, Edward Franklin, George, John, Harrison Thomas, Elijah, Benjamin, Sylvester and Louisiana. She died at the age of 66 on May 8th, 1929 in Ohio Co., Kentucky. She was buried in Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, Kentucky.1 1 -
