Benjamin Franklin was born on October 6th, 1851 in Austin, Texas.1 Benjamin Franklin's father was James Knight Smalley and his mother was Mary Purcell. His paternal grandfather was Freeman Jasper,Rev. Smalley and his paternal grandmother is Catherine Trader. He had two sisters named Christina Elizabeth and Lucretia. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Calvin Luther, James Freeman, Cynthia Caroline, Mary Ann, Roseleen and Lennie Ellen. He died at the age of 79 on June 28th, 1931.1 General Notes
