Benjamin Smalley 
Benjamin was born in 1667 in Falmouth, Cumberland, Maine.1 Benjamin's father was Francis Smalley and his mother was Elizabeth Leighton. His paternal grandfather was Edward Smalley and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Shurt\Shirt; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Leighton and his maternal grandmother is Joanna Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Francis Jr., Samuel, Daniel, Mary, Alice and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
