William Skaggs 
William was born on November 23rd, 1803 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 William's father was Thomas Thompson Skaggs and his mother was Nancy Ann Vance. His paternal grandparents were Charles Skaggs and Lucinda Thompson. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, Moses, Thomas Thompson,Jr., Elijah, James Thomas, Nancy Carolina, Mary, Jemima, Susannah Frances and Rachel Jane. He died at the age of 87 on December 5th, 1890 in Sonoma, California.1 General Notes
