Joseph Barbee Skaggs 
Joseph Barbee was born in April 1868.1 Joseph Barbee's father is Moses Riley Skaggs and his mother is Mary Pierce. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Skaggs and Martha Prather. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William Henry, James Riley, Lucy E., Nancy Ann, Mariah P. and Mary L.. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 69 on April 17th, 1937 in Marion Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Zion Baptist Church, Maple Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
