Jacob C. was born on December 15th, 1818 in Wayne Co., Tennessee.1 Jacob C.'s father was Mastin Skaggs and his mother is Lucy Abbott. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Skaggs and Mary Gore. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William Abbott, James, Celia, Elizabeth, Nancy Jane and Lusetta. He died at the age of 82 on January 6th, 1901 in Logan Co., Oklahoma.1 General Notes
