Holland Henry was born on January 9th, 1871 in Kentucky.1 Holland Henry's father was William Solomon Skaggs and his mother is Emily Frances Hedgespeth. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Skaggs and Martha Prather. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James Alfred, Solomon, John M., William Riley, Robert M., Caroline, Mahala, Nancy, Mary, Emily F. and Bettie J.. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 59 on April 25th, 1930 in Taylor Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Zion Baptist Church, Maple Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
