Elijah Skaggs 
Elijah was born in 1808 in Kentucky.1 Elijah's father was Thomas Thompson Skaggs and his mother was Nancy Ann Vance. His paternal grandparents were Charles Skaggs and Lucinda Thompson. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, Moses, William, Thomas Thompson,Jr., James Thomas, Nancy Carolina, Mary, Jemima, Susannah Frances and Rachel Jane. He died at the age of 43 on September 21st, 1851.1 General Notes
