Winfrey Monroe Shepherd 
Winfrey Monroe was born on November 9th, 1914 in Crawford Co., Arkansas.1 Winfrey Monroe's father was Grover Cleveland Shepherd and his mother was Lula Beatrice Basham. His maternal grandparents were Monroe Moses Basham and Martha Jane Williams. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George Washington, William Arby, Haskell, Truman Oscar, Duel Cleveland, Ruby Elizabeth, Nellie Opal and Dessie Mae. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 60 on November 6th, 1975. He was buried in Bixby Cem., Bixby Oklahoma.1 1 General Notes
