SCOGGINS ROBERT DERWAYNE born June 22, 1941, in Little Rock, Arkansa
s, di ed at his home in Dallas early January 20, 2002. He graduated from t
he Pea cock Military Academy in San Antonio, Texas in 1959. He then earn
ed both h is Bachelor's degree in business Administration and his Juris Do
ctor fr om Southern Methodist University in 1966. Bob was licensed by t
he Sta te of Texas as Certified Public Accountant that same year. He was a
lso Boa rd Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Tax La
w. Upon g raduation, he was first employed by the Samons Corporation and l
ater work ed in the comptroller's office at Steak and Ale Restaurant
s. He then enter ed into private practice in corporate and tax law for t
he next 32 years, p rimarily as a name partner in the law firm of Scoggin
s, Blanscet and O'Con nor. From 1995, to the time of his death, Bob was Pr
esident and C.E. O. of Ultra Test International, a Silicon Valley compa
ny which manufactur es computer chip testing equipment. Sports were a b
ig part of Bob's lif e. He enjoyed piloting his own airplane, restoring a
nd riding vintage moto rcycles, scuba diving, and competition automobile r
acing. He was also pres ident of the Jim Russell Racing School in Laquna S
eca, CA. Bob is surviv ed by his loving wife of 25 years, Sharon Glorio
so Scoggins, son Richard D erWayne Scoggins of Rockwall, Texas; daughter J
ocelyn Macy Scoggins of Chi cago, IL, and granddaughters, Victoria and Bro
oklyn Scoggins; his mothe r, Dorothy Bell Scoggins of Baton Rouge, LA; sis
ter June S. Wood of Bat on Rouge, LA; brother Donald R. Scoggins of Dalla
s, TX; sister Sue S. Caug hey of Santa Paula, CA; brother John Kenneth Sco
ggins of Santa Fe, N.M. a nd his former wife, Barbara Frush Scoggins. He w
as preceded in death by h is father, Harry DerWayne Scoggins. In lieu of f

on Wednesday, January 23, 20 02 at Sparkman Hillcrest Northwest Highway Ch
apel, Dr. William R. Cox offi ciating. Entombment will follow in Hillcre
st Mausoleum. The family will re ceive friends at the funeral home from 5:
30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday even ing. Pallbearers will be Richard Scoggin
s, Donald Scoggins, Kenneth Scoggi ns, Rodney Glorioso, Ronald Glorioso a
