Mahalia Roberts

Mahalia was born in 1829 in Burleson Co., Texas.¹   Mahalia's father was William, Sr. Roberts and her mother is Unknown Wife.  Her paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Roberts and Susanna Mason. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Redding, William, Jr., Mary and Nancy.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Travis and Martha.  She died at the age of 27 in 1856.¹ 

‌Mahalia and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1850.¹
