James Cecil was born on March 17th, 1909.1 James Cecil's father was Christopher Columbus Ritchie and his mother was Sarah Emaline Warford. His paternal grandfather was Elias Ritchie and his paternal grandmother is Mary Ann Prater. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Garland, Lee, Alton B., Eli, Dovie Jane, Daisey Bell, Beulah, Dorothy and Thelma Rose.
