Elizabeth Hawkins Porter

Elizabeth Hawkins was born on September 21st, 1778 in Orange Co., Virginia.¹   Elizabeth Hawkins' father is Abner Porter and her mother is Hanna Ingram.  Her paternal grandfather was Benjamin Porter and her paternal grandmother is Mary Ann Campbell; her maternal grandparents are John Ingram and Elizabeth Hawkins. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, Abner, Alexander, William, George, Benjamin F., Samuel S., Frances, Lucy, Maria, Nancy C. and Verlinda Alexander.  She is the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.

‌Elizabeth Hawkins and Elisha were married in a religious ceremony on May 27th, 1796 in St. Thomas Parrish, Orange Co., Virginia.¹
