Amanda Payne 
Amanda was born in 1861 in Polk Co., Missouri.1 Amanda's father is Joel Payne and her mother was Mary Polly Huckaby. Her paternal grandparents were Jubal Payne and Rhoady Basham. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas William, James R., Benjamine F., Asa Mark, Nonnie, Elizabeth J., Alice and Lila. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 84 in 1945.1 General Notes
