James Louis Oxley 
James Louis was born on June 6th, 1859 in Williamson Co. Texas.1 James Louis' father was Enoch Oxley and his mother was Rachel Smalley. His paternal grandparents were William Henry Oxley and Jane Binley; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin F. Smalley and Mary Liggett. He had four sisters named Sophrania Ann, Rachael Victoria, Victoria and Prudence. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Lawson, Everett, Samuel Copeland, James Asa, Benjamin Smalley, John Milton, Mary Jane, Susan Catherine, Cynthia Ellen, Sarah E., Mary Elizabeth and Barbara Ellen. He died at the age of 69 on April 23rd, 1929 in Shackelford Co. Texas.1 General Notes
