Nellie Beulah was born on April 22nd, 1904 in Peggs, Indian Territory, Cherokee Co., Oklahoma.1 Nellie Beulah's father was George B. McCellan Mize and her mother was Rosa Essafern Reynolds. Her paternal grandfather was Logan Mize and her paternal grandmother is Eliza Ann Ping. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Walter Leroy, William Franklin, Homer Martin, Sherman, Jessie Floyd, Ina Mirtle, Altie Pearl and Essie Floy.
