Alanson,Jr. was born in 1847 in Vermilion Co., Illinois.1 Alanson,Jr.'s father was Alanson Miller and his mother was Rebecca Snider. His maternal grandparents were John Snider and Prudence Unknown. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Enoch, John S., Barton, Asa, Amos, Prudence, Sophronia, Sarah E. and Rebecca. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 28 in 1875 in Walla Walla Co., Washington.1 General Notes
