Lucy Ellen was born on August 9th, 1886 in Barren Co., Kentucky.1 Lucy Ellen's father was Caleb Sewell Means and her mother was Docia Emeline Norris. Her paternal grandparents were Azel Means and Susan Wright. She had five brothers and eight sisters, named William Ezra, Azle Edra, James Eddy, Charles Bruce, Benjamine Snoddy, Ida Mahitabelle, Minnie Lee, Susan Mary, Kate, Sally Elizabeth, Nellie Maude, Gustavia and Donna Alice. She was the seventh youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 90 on February 10th, 1977.1 General Notes
