Obediah and Prudence were married in a religious ceremony on April 17th, 1786 in Prince Edward Co, Virginia.1 They had four sons and five daughters, named Obediah, Jr., James, George, John, Elizabeth, Lucy A., Melinda, Polly and Sarah.

Obediah, Jr. was born in 1805.1 He died at the age of 84 on July 22nd, 1889 in Bedford Co., Virginia. He was buried in Diamond Hill, Bedford Co., Virginia.1 1
