Albert's father was Farquehard McLeod and his mother was Sarah McFarland. His paternal grandparents were Peter McLeod and Sarah McCaskill; his maternal grandparents were John McFarland and Mary Keahey. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John J., George Keahey, Erastus, Martha Ann, Sarah Eugenia, Flora Katherine and Mary.1 General Notes
