Cora Essie was born on October 20th, 1910 in Goldsboro, Coleman Co., Texas.1 Cora Essie's father was Dean Phoenix McCorcle and her mother was Hattie Perpie Belyeu. Her paternal grandparents were William Wade Hudgins McCorcle and Amanda Lavessa Stuart. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named William Robert, Finnis Collins, John Archie, Jack Brown, Milton Flynn, Living, Tommie Spencer, Mary Dean and Betty Jo. She died at the age of 83 on August 9th, 1994 in Big Spring, Howard Co. Texas. She was buried in Colorado City Cemetery, Colorado City, Mitchell Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
