Ruth Mayo 
Ruth was born in 1770 in Buckingham Co., Virginia.1 Ruth's father was Valentine Mayo and her mother is Anne Patterson. Her paternal grandparents were James Mayo and Ruth Underwood. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Valentine,Jr., Thomas, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha, Sarah and Nancy. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 46 in 1816.1 General Notes
