Preston Maxey 
Preston was born in 1867 in BUTLER COUNTY, KY.1 Preston's father was James Goodson Maxey and his mother was Prudence Thornton. His paternal grandparents were Edward Maxey and Judy White. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jasper Mortimer, James Edward, Richard E, Lucy A, Mary A and Sarah L. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Rufus W, Ivan A and Marada J.1 -
