John Drue Marbut 
John Drue was born on May 21st, 1916 in Covington, Hill Co., Texas.1 John Drue's father was James Wesley Marbut and his mother was Effie Mae Pendergraft. His paternal grandparents were Phillip Henry Marbut and Martha Ann Bassham. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James Ray, Ollie Bell, Joe Roy, Faye Elizabeth, Artie Mae and Ruby Jeanette.
