Talton Augustus was born on January 15th, 1867 in Maries Co., Missouri.1 Talton Augustus' father was George W. Mahaney and his mother was Mary Jane Estes. His paternal grandparents were William Mahanay and Susannah Morgan. He had six sisters named Irene S., Susan Irene, Lucretia Eveline, Clara L., Lucy M. and Eunice Ann.
