Lawrence Anthony was born on October 17th, 1891 in Mill Springs, Carter Co., Missouri.1 Lawrence Anthony's father was Anthony Kirkland and his mother was Minnie Odell. His paternal grandparents were William (Bill) Kirkland and Sarah Smith. He had two brothers and a sister, named Erwin McDowell, Joseph Francis and Lenora Odell. oc al hospital Oct. 28, after a brief illness.
Mr. Kirkland was born in Van Buren, Missouri Oct. 17, 1891 and h
ad re sided in Everett for the past 60 years. He worked for the Hulbert M
ill C o. for a number of years, retiring in 1956. He was a member of Ever
ett Lo dge No. 137 F&AM Scottish Rite Bodies of Everett, Order of Amaran
th Cou rt No. 7 and the past Masters Club. During World War I he serv
ed in the U .S. Army and was a member of the World War I Barracks of Evere
tt.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Nellie Kirkland at home; a son Kenneth Ki
rk land of Snohomish; a daughter Mrs. James (Dorothy) De Long of Ephrat
a; a b rother, Erwin M. Kirkland of 2114 Rainier Ave.; 11 grand-childre
n, and thr ee great-grand-children.
