Lawrence Anthony Kirkland, 76, of 6419 Commercial Ave., died at a l
oc al hospital Oct. 28, after a brief illness.
Mr. Kirkland was born in Van Buren, Missouri Oct. 17, 1891 and h
ad re sided in Everett for the past 60 years. He worked for the Hulbert M
ill C o. for a number of years, retiring in 1956. He was a member of Ever
ett Lo dge No. 137 F&AM Scottish Rite Bodies of Everett, Order of Amaran
th Cou rt No. 7 and the past Masters Club. During World War I he serv
ed in the U .S. Army and was a member of the World War I Barracks of Evere
tt.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Nellie Kirkland at home; a son Kenneth Ki
rk land of Snohomish; a daughter Mrs. James (Dorothy) De Long of Ephrat
a; a b rother, Erwin M. Kirkland of 2114 Rainier Ave.; 11 grand-childre
n, and thr ee great-grand-children.
Services: Scottish Rite Masons; Private Cremation will foll
ow at Vi ew Crest Abbey.
