Anthony Kirkland 
Anthony was born on February 12th, 1850 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.1 Anthony's father was William (Bill) Kirkland and his mother was Sarah Smith. His paternal grandparents were Zachariah Kirkland and Elizabeth Harris; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Smith and Ann Unknown. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Caroline, Robert Francis, James Hilory, Leroy (Lee), Adelia Delilah and Arminta. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 49 on November 8th, 1899 in Missouri. He was buried in Masonic Cem., Van Buren, Carter Co., Missouri.1 1 General Notes
