John Flavil Keahey 
John Flavil was born on November 18th, 1832 in Alabama.1 John Flavil's father was George Burder Keahey and his mother was Margaret Keahey. His paternal grandparents were James Keahey and Mary Jane Jackson; his maternal grandfather was George Keahey and his maternal grandmother is Sarah McFarland. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George Jackson, James Alfred, Samuel Newell, Martin Elijah, William Samples, Mary, Sarah Jane and Margaret Ann. He died at the age of 47 on March 30th, 1880 in Erath Co., Texas. He was buried in Rock Church Cemetery, Border of Erath &Hood Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
