1 Eldon Clifford's father was Benjamin Franklin Keahey and his mother was Cornelia Austin. His paternal grandparents were John Robert Jackson Keahey and Martha Slay. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George Lon, Frank Stanhope, Hershel, Ray, Clarence, Mabel Elizabeth, Loretta and Lynn. Services for Eldon Keahey, formerly of Rockwall, were held Jan. 3 in
Lakeland, Fla.
Mr. Keahey, 72, died of complications from Alzheimer's disease Dec. 28 at
Meadowview Life Center in Lakeland. A retired security guard for Loomis
Fargo & Co, he had moved from Rockwall about a month earlier.
"He was very caring and helpful," said his son James Keahey of Rockwal
l. " He
enjoyed reading, working puzzles and working with model airplanes."
Eldon Keahey had served in the Army and Navy and was a Mason.
Other survivors include his wife, Evamae Keahey of Lakeland; another son,
Edward Keahey of Lakeland; a daughter, Karan Johnson of Billings, Mont

grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Keahey's body will be moved later to a Rockwall cemetery, his son sa
id .
