Sarah Ann Johnston 
Sarah Ann was born on March 6th, 1872 in Buffalo, Leon Co., Texas.1 Sarah Ann's father is William Stephen Johnston and her mother was Hannah Jane Durant. Her paternal grandparents are William Patrick Johnson and Sarah McGehee; her maternal grandparents were Bethel,2nd Durant and Sarah Ann Rebecca Graham. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John Durant, Edward Bethel, William Stephen,Jr., Wood, Mary Virginia, Emma, Rosabel and Lillie. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 76 on August 29th, 1948 in Crockett, Houston Co., Texas.1 General Notes
