Edward Bethel was born on January 22nd, 1878 in Leon Co., Texas.1 Edward Bethel's father is William Stephen Johnston and his mother was Hannah Jane Durant. His paternal grandparents are William Patrick Johnson and Sarah McGehee; his maternal grandparents were Bethel,2nd Durant and Sarah Ann Rebecca Graham.
