Lonnie Dee was born on September 22nd, 1895 in Granger, Williamson Co., Texas.1 Lonnie Dee's father was Lumpkin Lovette Hill and his mother was Mariah Cole Bennett. His paternal grandparents are Lovil Hill and Elizabeth Anderson; his maternal grandparents were George Reynalds Bennett and Paliney Jane Stewart. He had five brothers and a sister, named Charlie W., Thomas F., Elmer L. (Pete), Infant Daughter, Infant Son and Beulah M.. He was the youngest of the seven children.
