Mattie Hightower

Mattie was born in October 1897 in Texas.¹ Mattie's father was Lewis Buckner Hightower and her mother is Jane T. Lockhart. Her maternal grandfather is Samuel Webester Lockhart and her maternal grandmother was Josephine Christina Graham. She had six brothers and a sister, named Lockhart Valentine, Graham, Allen, Samuel W., Thomas Jefferson, Harilie and Apphia.
