Curtis Monroe Herndon 
Curtis Monroe was born on April 6th, 1890 in Santa Fe, Kansas.1 Curtis Monroe's father was Joseph Jefferson Herndon and his mother was Minnie Amanda Basham. His maternal grandparents were Henry Basham and Martha Ann Warren. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Guy, Walter Clare, Clyde, Leonard Isaac, Buela Viola, Mary Ethel, Minnie Olive, Myrtle Estelle and Eunice La Vina. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 80 on July 29th, 1970 in Wichita, Kansas. He was buried in Kansas Cemetary.1 1 General Notes
