Whitmel Harrington 
Whitmel was born in 1759 in Chatam Co., North Carolina.1 Whitmel's father was Charles Harrington and his mother was Agnes Hill. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Harrington and his paternal grandmother is Mary Or Sarah Whitmel; his maternal grandparents were Robert Hill and Tabitha Green. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Charles C., Sion, Drury, John, Philemon, Thomas, Enoch, Issac, Mary Elizabeth and Tabitha. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.
