James Cornelius Griffin

James Cornelius was born on August 7th, 1846.¹   James Cornelius' father was Bluford Griffin and his mother is Eveline Unknown.  His paternal grandfather was David Griffin and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Unknown. He had two brothers and five sisters, named David, William B., Nancy T., Mary, Matilda, Jane L. and Sarah E.. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Ditus, John A., Thomas, Emma C., Louisa and Margaret.  He died at the age of 25 on October 19th, 1871.¹ 

‌James Cornelius and Nancy Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on August 7th, 1864.¹   They had two sons and a daughter, named Irvin Cornelius, James Avery and Ida Elizabeth.
