Melvina J. was born on August 22nd, 1868 in Coryell Co., Texas.1 Melvina J.'s father was Jesse Abner Graham and her mother was Nancy E. Allen. Her paternal grandparents were Gideon Graham and Elizabeth Minnix. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Alexander, William Abner, Gideon, Ernest Abner, Elizabeth, Millie E. and Stella F.. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John Wesley, Jessie Alice and Mary Jane. She died at the age of 21 on February 22nd, 1890 in Osage, Coryell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
