Mary Lou was born on September 21st, 1899 in Newburg, Comanche, TX.1 Mary Lou's father was John Henry Goosby and her mother was Martha Barbara Allen. Her maternal grandparents were William Barrett Travis Allen and Mary Elizabeth Snider. She had three brothers and two sisters, named George Randolph, John Clyde, Edgar Travis, Lillie Belle and Ruby Lee. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 74 on May 9th, 1974 in Newburg, Comanche, TX. She was buried in Newburg Cemetery, Newburg, Comanche Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
