Amos Franklin Gilliland 
Amos Franklin was born on April 9th, 1887 in Cowley Co., Kansas.1 Amos Franklin's father was John H. Gilliland and his mother was Margaret Snider. His maternal grandparents were John Snider and Mary Blount. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Thomas David, Charles Henry, James Hughes, Robert Hamilton, Guy G., Lillie May, Mary Alice, Elizabeth Margaret, Julia Ann, Eliza Ellen and Nellie Rose. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 77 on November 15th, 1964 in Cowley Co., Kansas.1 General Notes
