Joshua Wingate was born on March 9th, 1819 in Limington.1 Joshua Wingate's father is Wingate Frost and his mother was Anna Mitchell. His paternal grandparents are James Frost and Love Wingate; his maternal grandparents are Dominicus Mitchell and Anna Smalley. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Oilver, Oliver, Mitchel, Enuice, Eunice, Mary, Elizabeth, Nancy and Zerlinda W.. He is the second youngest of the ten children.
