Sylvester J was born about 1806 in Kentucky.1 Sylvester J's father was Joseph Durbin and his mother is Elizabeth Logsdon. His paternal grandfather was Christopher Durbin and his paternal grandmother is Margaret Brown Parkinson not proven; his maternal grandfather was Edward Ned Logsdon and his maternal grandmother is Mary Polly Brown.
