Russell M. was born in 1920 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Russell M.'s father was George William DeSpain and his mother is Minnie Lee Druin. His paternal grandfather was Lindsey Hezekiah DeSpain and his paternal grandmother is Martha A. Marr. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas Boyd, William Shively and Hazel Sylvia. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 79 on March 22nd, 1999 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., Kentucky.
