Rual Herman was born on December 6th, 1904 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Rual Herman's father was Lewis DeSpain and his mother was Flora Ann Warren. His paternal grandfather was Joseph DeSpain and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Morrison; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Warren and Lucetta Grundy Sutherland. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Fred H., Leroy Elmer, Joseph Everett, Creed Omer, William O., Nora Ethel, Ada, Sally Ada and Gatha G.. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 91 on February 2nd, 1996 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
