Wilkes Monroe Davidson 
Wilkes Monroe was born on December 25th, 1829 in Lawrence Co., Alabama.1 Wilkes Monroe's father was Obediah S. Davidson and his mother was Eleanor Carpenter. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Davidson and Jane Henrietta Clayton. He had three brothers and a sister, named Sherrod M., Thomas Edward, Joseph E. and Louisa. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 53 on November 27th, 1883.1 General Notes
