Her paternal grandparents were Milas Alexander Davidson and Dovey Robison. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Milas Lee, Henry Edward, Grover Cleveland, Alice Alma (Allie) and Margaret 'Maggie'. She was the third youngest of the six children.
