John L. Crier 
John L. was born about 1873 in Texas.1 John L.'s father was Thomas A. Cryer and his mother was Ritter Jane Canborn. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Cryer and Martha Unknown; his maternal grandparents were John Canborn and Rittie Unknown. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James O., William J., George, Lucy, Laura E., Mihala, Sarah and Clara Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the nine children.
