Yancy Claude Counts 
Yancy Claude was born on June 19th, 1877 in Marshall Co., Tennessee.1 Yancy Claude's father was Hasten Alexander Counts and his mother was Henrietta Virginia McAdams. His paternal grandparents were George Counts and Nancy Matthews; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Davidson McAdams and Nancy A. Nelson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James L., William D., Isaac McAdams, Walter Lee, Grover Cleveland, Emma and Nancy Ann. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 71 on November 21st, 1948 in Texas.1 General Notes
