G. C. was born on March 22nd, 1918 in Edgewood, Van Zandt County, Texas.1 G. C.'s father was Grover Cleveland Counts and his mother was Sarah Gertrude (Gertie) Pearson. His paternal grandparents were Hasten Alexander Counts and Henrietta Virginia McAdams. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named Cleveland, Ike McA, Rainey Howl, Cleveland, Living, Living, Henrietta Marie, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living. He died at the age of 77 on October 17th, 1995 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.1 General Notes
