Cleveland was born on August 30th, 1915 in Edgewood, Van Zandt County, Texas.1 Cleveland's father was Grover Cleveland Counts and his mother was Sarah Gertrude (Gertie) Pearson. His paternal grandparents were Hasten Alexander Counts and Henrietta Virginia McAdams. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named G. C., Ike McA, Rainey Howl, Cleveland, Living, Living, Henrietta Marie, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living. He died at the age of 72 on June 28th, 1988 in Balch Springs, Dallas County, Texas.1 -
